OUC CHRISTMAS BAZAAR 2019 Sincere thanks to everyone who has helped in so many ways to make OUC’s Bazaar a success. Over eighty volunteers have offered to work on the day of the Bazaar, and countless others have given of their time and talents for months. Your help in getting the word out, inviting friends and family to attend, doing some Christmas shopping or stocking your freezers is so appreciated. All of the funds raised from the Bazaar support the various ministries of our church.
OUC SEASON OF SHARING We continue our tradition of sharing God’s goodness with others through a daily practice of making space in our homes and finding meaningful gifts for those in need. You are invited to follow along our Season of Sharing calendar, taking 10 minutes each day to find one (or more) designated items and placing them in a box in your home. Each Sunday from November 17 to December 8, you are welcome to bring your weekly donations to the Library, where we will receive and sort them. We will be supporting several community organizations, and hope that by finding items that are no longer getting any love in our homes, we can help those who are in need. You can refer to the calendar for each week’s items, and please only bring in those items listed. If you have questions at any time throughout the month, please feel free to contact Natalie Merchant (Natalie@spaceforcalm.ca), or Rev. Caroline. Thank you!

TOWER TAKE DOWN CAMPAIGN IS NOW CLOSED! Thank you to all those people that donated their time, talents and offerings to help pay for the enormous tower renovations this year. The murder mystery was a giant success and a great way to close out the campaign.
BABY SWAP (KNITTING ONLY!) Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Christmas Bazaar on Saturday. Unfortunately, one shopper went home with the wrong bag of baby knits by mistake. We have the items safe and sound and would love to reunite them with their proper owner. If you or any of your friends are looking for their purchases, could you please contact the office to arrange for pick-up or delivery? Thank you!
FINANCIAL UPDATE Total regular financial contributions from the congregation to the end of October are about $7,000 less this year compared to 2018. Financial contributions from the congregation are very important, making up about 70% of the total revenues which support the ministries of our church. Please continue to give as you are able.
ADVENT PRACTICE. During the time of Advent we invite you to join us in a weekly time of centering prayer. If interested, please contact Heather McGrath (firstname.lastname@example.org).
