We have been asked to suspend all Youth programming. So, there will be no classes, activities or events until further notice.

I am not sure when we can resume OUC Youth activities. 🙁

Perhaps I can find some ways for us to interact online.

Hi all,

I wanted to provide everyone with an update on our OUC Youth activities in
light of the COVID-19 situation. Ontario’s chief medical officer of health
is recommending the immediate suspension of all large events and public
gatherings of over 250 people due to COVID-19.

Therefore we are limited to 249 Youth, plus me in the Lounge on Sunday
March 15. So, I would suggest getting there early to ensure that you are
not turned away at the door.

I planning on shooting our video for Junk Collection day which is scheduled
for Sat May 2nd. So please bring your creative brains. Those of you with
un-creative brains are also welcomed.

As an extra incentive, if we do get 249 Youth, then I will slide down the
snow bank behind the church in a bathing suit on Sunday.

During the Youth class on March 8^th there was overwhelming support to hold a Junk Collection Day this spring.

So, back by popular demand, we will be holding a Junk Collection fundraising day on Sat May 2 2020.

What does that mean, well in the past we have met at the church by 9:00am on the Saturday and we have spent the day driving around collection junk from people’s houses. We also end up taking a lunch break at a Leaders house for some well deserved pizza and refreshments.

In order to pull this event off we will need Youth to help out in the following ways:

• Help put together a promotional video. michaelparsche will be leading this on Sunday March 15
• Help putting together posters, which Sarah will be leading on March 22
• We will have a customer sign up table in the Hall during Sundays in April, and we need Youth to sit at the table and take orders
• Come out on Sat May 2^nd and carry junk to our trucks

The Leaders are going to be using the Junk Collection event and the lead up to the event,  to build up some momentum in the Youth program. So Youth are encouraged to take part whenever they can.

As an added bonus, there will be a Hot Chocolate bar with lots of toppings.

Maybe even black licorice flavoured Hot Chocolate. Yum!!!

Hi all,

We will be joining the children this Sunday (Dec 15) for a joint Christmas
celebration. There will be crafts, a VeggieTales movie and lots of
little ones.

We are being encouraged to wear our pyjamas.
